"The Blandin Foundation is pleased to fund Guthrie education and outreach programs that enrich rural Minnesota communities. Young people and elders alike are able to explore new opportunities and build new friendships throughout a variety of Guthrie endeavors. These programs help bridge the gap between rural and urban areas of our state, and contribute to the vibrant fabric of communities statewide."
- Paul M. Olson President & CEO, The Blandin Foundation
Grants from local and national foundations play an important role in the work of the Guthrie Theater by providing valuable general operating support, as well as supporting new program directions. Foundation gifts ensure that the Guthrie is able to maintain artistic excellence on our stages and keep pace with the growing demand for our services. Most importantly, community support helps keep our productions affordable for all Minnesotans. More than 425,000 individuals see Guthrie productions annually. Also, with the help of our foundation partners, the Guthrie is able to offer a wide-range of engaging education and outreach programs for students and adults and outstanding access programs for people who have mobility, hearing and visual impairments. Nearly 115,000 people are served through these programs annually.
