AUDITION FOR AFRICAN-AMERICAN BOYS WHO SING

Guthrie seeks non-union African-American boys who sing (8-13) to share featured roles in CAROLINE, OR CHANGE  Big commitment: 10th March through 21st June 2009. Auditions Sunday, 4th January.

GENERAL AUDITION POLICY

Most of the casting for Guthrie Theater productions is done locally, although some out of town actors are hired for almost every Guthrie production. The majority of out of town casting is arranged through the Guthrie's New York City representative, McCorkle Casting (575 8th Avenue, 18th Floor, New York, New York 10018). Auditions for specific productions are held in Minneapolis and in New York as needed throughout the year. Twin Cities area based actors should make a habit of checking the Sunday classified ads in the Star Tribune or Pioneer Press. When holding open auditions, the Guthrie usually places notices in the audition section of both of these papers. The Guthrie Theater's annual Twin Cities general auditions are usually scheduled in the spring. Occasionally, Guthrie auditions are held in other major cities (such as Los Angeles, Seattle and Chicago). Actors who wish to submit their pictures and resumes are welcome to send them via regular mail to:
